Android 10 (Q) Released Today for Google Pixels

Check out the latest on Android 10 that was released today for Google Pixel phones first. Some of the top Android 10 features include Dark Theme.

Android 10 (Android Q) beta 3 launched during the Google I/O event. On September 3rd the new OS was first released to Google’s very own smartphone, Google Pixel. Please note that all other Android devices will receive the update later.

Top Features of Android 10

We’ve long waited for Dark Theme feature which saves on battery life by using true black. Dark Theme changes the look of apps like Calendar and Photos. Featured on Android 10’s website you can see it in action if you do not own a Pixel phone. Just scroll down and click on Dark Theme. The web page will turn to the true black. You are able to switch back by clicking on turn off dark theme. See pictures below.

Smart reply is an added feature that suggests actions on top of the suggests messages. Great for planning meet ups with family and friends. I send a text message to my fiance asking him out to dinner Google’s smart reply will pull up Google Maps to assist with directions. Just that simple.

Focus Mode by Google

Jules and I own a Palm smartphone. The Palm is a palm-sized phone that allows us to be more focused and less distracted. Constant messages, phone calls and social media notifications can become very distracting. Android Q includes Focus Mode to help keep the distractions at bay. See it in action on the web page. There are a lot more features that is included with the new OS. The ones we at TLR Technology listed were the key ones. Security updates will be pushed out faster and will be a lost easier to receive.
